Corrupt LCD/UI Fix

  • A corrupted display will have jumbled or pixelated colored static like areas where the icons should be.
  • Some users will notice a pixelated line on one or more of the move menus that this will fix. The pixelated line does not affect the machines performance or UI response times so there is no problem leaving it as is.
  • A blank screen, white or black is not a corrupted display.

UI Controller Assets (ui.bin) Upload Process

  1. Download one of the zip files from the UI.BIN Downloads section below.
    • Make sure to download the version appropriate for the UI controller firmware version that is running on your printer.
  2. Unzip the downloaded file to your computer.
    • NOTE: The file within each zip will be named ui.bin. The ui.bin file within each zip file should only be used with the UI controller firmware versions it was listed under.
  3. Setup WiFi
    • NOTE: Unfortunately WiFi is the only way to use the ui.bin
  4. Open web browser on computer, input http://printer_ip_address/up E.g., http://192.168.20.164/up
  5. Browse to the location where the ui.bin file was saved/extracted to, select the file, and click “Upload UI”.
    • DO NOT UPLOAD lcd.bin (or any other file).
